Endowed ~ (Chapter 1)
*Actually, i wrote this a while back, but forgot to post it here X3 Well enjoy chapter 1 :3 Have a nice day guys~! ^^*
With a shout, Kenneth sat up wide-eyed and wet with perspiration in his bed. He reached over to his bedside lamp and flicked the switch. He gazed about wildly as he checked his dimly lit room. His nightmares over the weeks had worsened to the point that he could still taste ash on his tongue or feel the burning sensation at his feet even after he had woken up. The therapist he had seen said that they were just nightmares; there was nothing to worry about, although Kenneth thought otherwise.
Finally sure that he was safe, and that his room was not destroyed, Kenneth slowly laid his head back down on his pillow. He wiped the perspiration from his forehead and sighed as he thought back to the dream he had. He was trapped in an inferno of intense heat where tongues of fire danced madly around him like Red Indians. They licked at his bed frame and slowly travelled up his bed sheets, all the while laughing wickedly at him. The fire was so vivid that when the flames touched him, he felt their energy course through his veins and the intense heat that they radiated. How he had woken up from that terrible nightmare, he had absolutely no idea. Pushing the thoughts of his nightmare out of his head, he sat up again and looked at his alarm clock. It beeped 3am in the morning. Scowling, he massaged his temples in frustration.
“Another sleepless night,” he thought. Not wanting to just lay in bed and stare at the ceiling like an idiot, he stood up, and walked over to his guitar. He squatted down in front of it and ran his fingers across the wood. He then touched the strings and strummed lightly, listening to the vibrations of the strings and the sound they produced. Closing his eyes, he let himself go. He strummed the guitar again, letting the sound of pure music guide him to serenity.

Kenneth woke to a light shaking on his shoulders. He slowly drew back his eyelids and his mother’s face came into view. She had on a face of worry as she shook him.
“Mum? What’s wrong?”
Kenneth was still groggy as he spoke. His head lulled over as he struggled to keep himself awake. Worried about why her son would fall sleep sitting in front of his guitar again, she bit her lip and asked, “Honey, why are you not in bed? Why are you sleeping with your head on the guitar?”
Kenneth dismissed the question with a slow wave of his hand.
“I’m fine mum. I couldn’t sleep. Not to worry.”
The lines of worry on his mother’s forehead furrowed deeper. Her son had been acting strange lately, every morning, she had found him either sprawled on the floor or sitting in front of his guitar, fast asleep. She hoped that this was not to last.
Looking down at her son, she was enraged to find him fast asleep again. Having enough, she pulled him by the ear out of the room and down the stairs. Feeling the pain, Kenneth’s eyes flew open and he struggled with pain as he was dragged out of his room.
“Mum! I’m awake! Let me go!”
He squirmed to get his ear free from her fingers but to no avail. In times like this, his mother had the strength of a weight-lifter. Dragging him to the kitchen basin, his mother handed him a toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste and shoved a set of clothes into his arms. Saying nothing more, she stormed to the stove and started preparing his breakfast.
Kenneth grimaced and pushed thoughts of the nightmare out of his head as he stood in full view of the opened window brushing his teeth. When a few children ran by, he made a beard out of foam and mimicked an old man. The children giggled at his antics. Throwing him a look as black as thunder, his mother barked at him to get dressed for school. Kenneth made a face at her as he went into the bathroom to change.
After breakfast, and some nagging from his mother, he ran out of the house yelling a goodbye. He quickly boarded the bus to school, and sat down with a sigh. His best friend, Dimitri came and sat down beside him.
“Bad night?” He asked as he observed the dark rings around his friend’s eyes.
More sighs. Dimitri patted him on the shoulder and said, “Nightmares. What gives? They’re just dreams man. I have them too. They’re nothing to worry about.” Kenneth shrugged and fell silent for the rest of the journey.
School passed by in a blur. No matter what Dimitri said in an attempt to try to lift his spirits, Kenneth paid no heed. He wandered the halls to his next class like a zombie, all the while thinking about what his dreams meant. Determined to find out why, he finally escaped from Dimitri who was bent on taking him to chill somewhere, and made his way to the library as the last bell for school rang. While he was walking along the empty hallway to the library, strong hands shot out from behind him and covered his mouth. Tendrils of air encircled his legs and arms, binding him into a fetal position. Both surprised and filled with awe as he gazed down upon the tendrils around him, he struggled to get free. Then, something hard came down upon his head and everything went black.

Kenneth’s eyes flew open and he surveyed his surroundings. He was lying on a lavishly decorated queen sized bed. He sat up, drew the curtains aside and got out of the bed. The room he was in was circular and made of white marble which glittered and shone wherever sunlight streamed in through the glass dome above him. There was a large and dark antique wardrobe standing in a corner. Kenneth crossed the room to it and ran his fingers across the wood. He drew in breath in a sharp gasp as he realized that the wardrobe was made up of the finest ebony. He pulled it open only to find clothes of the finest materials: Suits of the finest silk, shirts of the best cotton, trousers of the best denim. He stared at the clothes dumbfounded and wondered why his kidnappers would put him in such a fine room. He stepped back and tackled the massive door that may grant his freedom. It didn’t even budge. Giving up, he looked up at the walls around him. His mouth fell open like a kitchen drawer. He stared at the instruments that lined the walls. There were instruments from every family. An oboe, a violin, a trumpet… There was even a grand piano and a full drum set sitting on raised platforms beside the bed which he hadn’t noticed before. He then noticed an ivory door at the other end of the room. He threw it open only to find a blacksmith’s workshop. Kenneth felt as if he was in seventh heaven.
“Oh my god, am I dreaming? Is this the first beautiful dream of the month?”
He pinched himself hard and winced as he felt the pain. Concluding that it was not a dream, he closed the ivory door and sat down on the bed, waiting for a sound, a footstep; whoever that could explain what all this was about. Something must have read his thoughts as the door suddenly flew open. Kenneth sprung into action and grabbed a pillow from the bed for defense. He did not expect the next thing he saw though. A woman clothed in a dress of flowing silk glided into the room. She came to him, tall and stately, with a shimmering diadem on her beautiful forehead and her large eyes shining with majesty. Beside her walked a magnificent peacock which cocked its head and stared at Kenneth. Kenneth looked upon this mysterious woman and saw the beauty of power, of sway and dominion; he saw all his dreams of such ambition giving shape and form to this lovely woman. He gasped and lowered his eyes to the floor. Trying not to sound as afraid as he was, he croaked, “Who are you?”
The woman smiled. Her smile was breathtaking, though Kenneth didn’t see it. When she spoke, her voice, filled with such richness and power, lingered in the air as she replied, “I’m Hera, queen of the gods.”

Endowed - Prologue :)
*Greetings!!! I have been working on writing a book, so i came up with this prologue, please help by commenting via the tagboard! Thanks a million! ^^*
The midnight forest came alive when the moon rose. Everything that was in plain sight was illuminated by the soft, dappled rays of moonlight. Everything was silent, broken only by the occasional cricket chirp and the croaking of bullfrogs from the lake nearby. However, such serenity was not to last. A faint rumbling sounded through the forest. Night creatures sat up alert and ready to spring. The rumbling slowly increased in volume, and stopped. The entire forest had gone eerily silent, saved only for the small rustling of leaves as animals darted pass undergrowth and plants. As quickly as it came, an enormous explosion of solid concrete and metal followed by a wave of power swept across the area and faded away. Foul smoke and dust filled the air. Two figures clad in white robes streaked with ash and grime emerged from the dust and smoke. Moving as if they possessed the speed of light, the figures swerved in and out between trees, and across dark chasms. Dead leaves that littered the forest floor rustled and flew up into the air; forming small typhoons of leaves, only to fall back onto the ground with a small sigh later.
Everything was still except for the occasional thud of human feet on the forest floor. Snaking their way steadily around trees and moving towards the white robed figures, black shadows took form in front of them. The shadows twisted and coagulated before morphing into human figures, each with a pair of eyes too pale to be registered as those of living beings. No life flickered behind those pale, expressionless eyes. As if on cue, fingers of mist accompanied by the pungent smell of something vile started to weave around them. Thinking nothing of it and slowing to a stop, the white robed threw out their arms and started chanting what could only be remnants of an ancient language. Before the dark figures of evil could reach them, beams of light shot out from the fingertips of the figures in white. Shaping these beams into large spheres of energy that pulsed with brightness and power, they blasted them at the dark creatures. With screams of agony, they trembled as the immense power filled their bodies. They clawed at air as if they were struggling to breathe. Slowly, spots of light emerged. Thin hairline cracks of bright light began to emerge as their bodies before they exploded in a blinding flash, withering into nothingness. The forest fell silent again. The white robed paused and looked around. Satisfied that the coast was clear, they nodded to each other, spun on their heels, and flew swiftly through the forest back home. Not once did they look back for if they did, they would have seen the silhouette of a Giant as he stepped into plain view. The Giant let out a deadly cackle as he removed his gas mask and looked around. The trees that were touched by the mist he had created earlier were started to wither and shrivel up. With a satisfied grin he gazed down upon a half-filled bottle in his hand. It was filled with the deadly essence of the Hydra’s blood……

Hey everyone ~! :D
Its been some time i posted.... (again) XD
How are all of you?
Special thanks to those who left a message behind.
I'm happy you guys spent some time reading the stuff i wrote. Believe me, it makes me feel all warm inside because people actually read it ^-^
I haven't been up to anything much recently... still finding that job..... -.-
My mum now forbids me to borrow any more library books because she wants me to start working on my cross-stitch. (spoilsport.... ) But who cares? She cant stop me from reading XP
Either way, i still have to show her some progress on the cross-stitch. Doing a little a day should do the trick..... i hope. :3
I would be receiving my 'O' level results next year on January the 10th. Hope i get in to that course ><
please.....................................................................
I can't wait for the class chalet next year after receiving the results, though there might be a chance of sorrow and disappointment in the air. (well, i hope not)
Well, looking on the bright side... there's a barbecue :P (i love them XD)
Hope everyone out there has got a better life than me... (this boring life....holiday i mean.)

Yours truly is back again :P
How's everyone out there? Remember i used to always complain about exams and wished it was the holidays already? Well, now i wish the exact opposite ... -.- It's freaking boring around here. Don't start on the job issue..... LOL. I'll find one soon. Somehow... or rather....
Aside from my adorable books who are always there for me and help keep me company and plus my important friends and family..... :D..... It's still freaking boring..... =="
I've got the idea of taking up dance classes... (well i love to move :p) but i don't want to do it alone, i'm a loner at times but sometimes, a loner need friends right XDD kidding!
This time of the year...mostly everybody would already be anticipating the arrival of Christmas....
(This the season to be jolly... la la la la la... la la la la ... ) Me? I do. Plus my birthday of course XD I love my birthday even though it means i'm the smallest everywhere.... (most of the time -.-) That's because i receive double the present load! One for my birthday and one for Christmas~! Lucky ME!!! XDD
I can't wait for my results which are gonna be released next year. >< Please..... get me in to that course~!!!! KAMI-SAMA~!!! ONEGAISHIMASU~!!!
For now, all i can do is to read..... get online and surf the net plus socialize, get together with family and friends... and whatever.... before next year... what a loooong holiday.... =="

I'M FINALLY FREE~!!!! :DDD
Today's the last day of my examinations.... and i have conquered them all~!!! XD
Time to wait for the results.... :p
Seriously, i was stressed...(apparently) and now, the burden of these IMPORTANT exams have finally been lifted from my brain & heart~~ ^o^
I can finally RELAX... HIGHLIGHT MY HAIR, GET WHATEVER I WANT (after getting a job), GO WHEREVER I WANT and READ MY DAYS AWAY.... :DDD

About the job issue........ can anyone recommend me a job? I've ran out of ideas... it is either the pay isnt good, or i simply hate the job =.=
There's gonna be like a flash mob at scape soon, so (hehe... ;D) i'll be going and dancing my day away~! XDD That's all i have on my brain~~~ be back soon~! :)

Hey everyone~! I'm back~! :D
How's all of you?? :P I've been stressed, (apparently) and now, since the two tough weeks of exams are over, i can finally relax~~~ but there's still another three more papers... that i have to cope with coming this friday & next week.... -pouts- *spoilsport*
But well, they're only MCQ papers... (paper 1) so i'm not really that tensed up and stressed as much as before for the other papers.... :) However, it's best i dont let my guard down and still study hard for them. After all, these papers i'm taking could help in pulling up my grades u know~ :P So i've better revise them well as i did for the previous week :)
Hope i get good grades..... (oh my, i'm starting that again... ==)
But well, really.... i really need good grades... (who doesn't?) I wish with all my heart... (maybe i should find a shooting star and wish upon it :p) that i would get good grades, make my parents proud... and enter the course i want for next year~ :D But as you all know, after next week, i'm free~!!!! So i would be finding a job to keep myself occupied... and going to the library everyday... oh... how i miss my books~!!! T^T (books~!! i'm coming!!! ....)
A lot of things have also happened recently..... for example.... i just broke up with my bf.... -sigh- i was so depressed yesterday... (well it happened yesterday T^T) But they say sadness flies away on the wings of time..... so guess i'll be trying to calm myself and hope he'll come back someday..... (daydreaming) ... I wont go on about how depressed i am.... LOL. That's what most people do (i think) but well, i hope to keep it under wraps and not wash my dirty linen in public.... :)
That's all i've got.... :D Off to watch some movies.... :P Since i'm only gonna start revision on thursday... so see you guys around~!! Be back soon ! :D

I'm back~!!! for a while XD
I've been busy preparing for my "o" levels so i'm not really writing much here ~~~ T^T
However,
I'm glad to say that i have already conquered English and Math~ :p I hope i'm victorious though :)
English was alright, just hope i scored an A1. Maths was fine too, but i really want to check my answers~~~ anyone have a link??? :D
The week is finally over, thus i'm having a well-deserved "little" rest. I have to start studying again on sunday... or maybe tomorrow~~~ -shrug-
Its five papers next week >< Chemistry, Geography, Physics, Biology & Social Studies :/ Hope i conquer them too >_< and be victorious over them as well :P
